Recipe
for Chocolate and Banana Mousse

Chocolate and
Banana Mousse - This one is for all of you who just can't
resist chocolate! It's relatively low in calories and ideal
for a special treat for a birthday or other occasion. It's great
for kids who are trying to lose weight and feeling deprived
because they aren't allowed to eat much sweet stuff. Try to
avoid sugar - you could use a sugar substitute, but remember
that they aren't all that great for your health. So don't use
them too often.
Here's what you need:
2 Tablespoons low-fat
milk or soya milk
(4 teaspoons sugar - I leave this out, you can try reducing
the amount)
1 medium-sized banana, sliced into 4 pieces
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt or soya yogurt
Banana slices for garnishing
And here's what you
do:
Blend the milk, vanilla, (and sugar, if you're using it), cocoa
powder and banana slices until the mixture is really smooth.
Transfer to a bowl and gently mix in the yogurt. Chill until
set. Put into serving bowls and decorate with slices of banana
or serve with fresh fruit salad, as illustrated.
