Most of us are aware that overeating is often an emotional response. Then you come up with a phrase which expresses exactly how you feel, using the words that are right for you. You repeat the phrase aloud as you tap on specific acupuncture points, which helps release the energy blocks which relate to the feelings behind the thoughts.

 

You may have to complete several rounds of tapping before the level of discomfort has gone right down to 1 or 0. Sometimes other feelings will come up as well and you just have to come up with a phrase to express those and tap again. So, you can use EFT to lose weight without following a specific diet. It simply re-trains you, enabling you to resist cravings and thus eat a healthier diet and sensible amounts of food.
